A. 2010, NASA Lectures: Dr. Lee-Lueng Fu from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NASA, Pasadena, California, USA, will give 3-day lectures at the Technical University of Crete. The lectures will be given on 14, 15 and 16 September 2010. Each lecture takes about 90 minutes at least to allow discussion (60 minute lecture and 30 minute questions). The venue is the Large Auditorium in the Building of the Department of Sciences, in the University Campus. Time is 18:00-20:00 in the afternoon. These lectures will cover the following topics: (1) Climate Change and Sea level (14-Sept-2010); (2) Ocean Circulation (15-Sept-2010), and; (3) Satellite Altimetry (16-Sept-2010). B. 2011, Deformation Monitoring & Satellite Altimetry workshop, 20-21 January, 2011. An International Technical Workshop on "Deformation Monitoring & Satellite Altimetry Calibration" is to be organized by the Geodesy & Geomatics Engineering Lab of the Technical University of Crete. This Workshop will take place in the city of Chania, Crete, Greece, 20-21 January 2011.
Top scientists and researchers in the field of Deformation Monitoring & Satellite Altimetry are invited to participate in this Technical Workshop. There are going to be morning Sessions with presentations on Satellite Altimetry and Deformation Monitoring, while afternoon Sessions include round-table discussions.
